Elektronica-genie en ex-gevangene Muff Kovak (Freddie Prinze) bedenkt samen met vier vriendinnen een plot om miljoenen dollars van de Chicago Transit Authority te stelen. Politiedetective Ralph Fogherty (Allen Garfield) heeft Kovak sinds zijn vrijlating uit de gevangenis in de gaten gehouden en vermoedt dat hij iets van plan is.
