In de wereld van de geheime intelligentie is maar een man slim. Steve Carell is in zijn element als Maxwell Smart, de nieuwbakken CONTROL-agent die vaak de kluts kwijt is maar altijd een oplossing weet in deze actiekomedie waarin hij het op moet nemen tegen de nucleaire plannen van de geheime spionagegroep KAOS.
