Na een succesvolle bankoverval hoopt Micky zijn vriendin Marie terug te nemen die van hem is afgenomen. Op weg naar Parijs ontmoet hij Léon, een neurotische dromer .die hij als een idioot beschouwt. Leon kan nauwelijks begrijpen wat Micky van plan is, maar hij volgt hem overal en wordt al snel verliefd op Marie.
