Actrice Harase Kyoko weet niets van de vloek 'ju-on', die ontstaat door de wrok van iemand die in kwade toestand overlijdt. Als blijkt dat ze zwanger is, overweegt ze te stoppen met haar werk. Toch accepteert ze een klus voor een paranormale televisieshow, waarvoor ze naar een met geesten bevolkt huis gaat.
