Clifford Godfrey is een ontwerper van meubels voor poppenhuizen en heeft een ideaalbeeld van liefde en vrouwen. Op een avond van een lange vakantie, wordt hij plotseling door zijn 'perfecte' vriendin in de steek gelaten. Maar zijn verdriet is van korte duur als hij de oogverblindende Amanda ontmoet, en Clifford denkt opnieuw de 'ware' liefde gevonden te hebben.
