Na jaren van afwezigheid keert Linda Stevens terug naar haar geboortedorp en haar ouderlijk huis, Montclare. Haar moeder heeft het tot haar dood geëxploteerd als bejaardentehuis en nu voelt Linda zich verantwoordelijk de taak van haar moeder over te nemen. Eenmaal aangekomen krijgt Linda echter af te rekenen met vreemde voorvallen. Als Linda besluit om samen met haar oude jeugdvriend Barney op onderzoek te gaan, beseffen ze niet wat hen nog allemaal te wachten staat.
