Don Henderson; één van de bazen van een grote fast food keten heeft een probleem. Er zit besmet vlees in de best verkopende burger van de keten en Don vraagt zich af waarom. Hij verlaat het fijne leventje op kantoor en gaat op zoek in de slachthuizen, waar het vlees precies vandaan komt. Don komt erachter dat deze 'Fast Food Nation' een land is vol met consumenten die er nog niet achter zijn gekomen dat zij het zijn die geconsumeerd worden door een industrie die grote milieu, gezondheid - en sociale problematiek met zich meebrengt.
Nee, helaas is Fast Food Nation nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
