Deze film vertelt het verhaal van Liz Evans, die woont in Carmarthen. In de jaren 90 begint ze een campagne om de plaatselijke bioscoop (de Lyric Cinema) te redden. Met de hulp van Richard Goodridge, een lokale politicus, krijgen ze Steven Spielberg zover om een première van Jurassic Park te vertonen in de Lyric in een poging de toekomst van die bioscoop veilig te stellen.
Nee, helaas is Save the Cinema nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
