Peter is op zoek naar zijn lang verloren gewaande zus als hij op het marktplein een pad kruist met een waarzegster. Zijn enige vraag is: leeft zijn zus nog? Het antwoord, dat hij een mysterieuze olifant moet vinden en de tovenaar die hem zal toveren, zet Peter op een reis om drie schijnbaar onmogelijke taken uit te voeren die het aanzien van zijn stad voor altijd zullen veranderen.
