Twee kleine meisjes, Maria en Mirabella, gaan wandelen in het bos en komen daar verscheidene magische karakters tegen, zoals een kikker die met zijn poot in het ijs vastzit, een vuurvlieg wiens schoenen steeds in de brand blijven vliegen en een vlinder die bang is om te vliegen. Om hun nieuwe vriendjes te helpen moeten ze deze naar een tovenares brengen die diep in het bos woont.
Nee, helaas is Maria, Mirabela nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
