Craig, een jonge jongen die in een klein stadje woont, raakt bevriend met een oudere, teruggetrokken miljardair, Mr. Harrigan. De twee vormen een band over boeken en een iPhone, maar wanneer de man overlijdt, ontdekt de jongen dat niet alles wat dood is weg is, en kan hij vanuit het graf met zijn vriend communiceren via de iPhone die bij hem begraven is.
