Een op feiten gebaseerd verhaal een topmanager die wegens een aanklacht voor de rechtbank belandt. Hij wordt veroordeeld tot een taakstraf. Hij krijgt de opdracht een basketbalteam van verstandelijk gehandicapte burgers te coachen. In eerste instantie is hij terughoudend en denkt hij egoïstisch aan zijn eigen behoeften. Later ontdekt hij de echte zin van het leven: het helpen van anderen.
