Jiminy Glick een egocentrische grofgebekte interviewer voor een klein televisiestation wil de meest beroemde en succesvolle interviewer van de rich and famous worden. Dit lijkt te lukken wanneer hij bij toeval een jonge persschuwe acteur kan strikken voor een exclusief interview. De onbekende lompe Jiminy waar niemand mee wilde praten kan nu elke ster voor zijn camera krijgen. Maar dezelfde roem zorgt er voor dat hij verwikkeld raakt in een moordonderzoek compleet met seksschandalen rappers en verwende beroemdheden.
