In het jaar 1939 krijgen dochters van hooggeplaatste nazi's les op een kostschool aan de Engelse kust. Mevrouw Rocholl houdt toezicht op de instelling, Thomas Miller is een van de docenten. Wanneer een van zijn collega's ontdekt wat er hen te wachten staat, wil deze de anderen waarschuwen. Als hij vervolgens dood wordt teruggevonden, slaat Thomas op de vlucht.
