Twee ongelukkige obers in een taverne op de Spaanse Main spelen cupido tussen aristocratische Lady Jane en taverne medewerker Bruce Martindale, maar de twee bumpkins combineren een liefdesbrief met Captain Kidd's schatkaart van Skull Island, waardoor ze worden gekidnapt en meegenomen op naar het beruchte pirateneiland.
