Een jongeman wordt scheepsjongen en maakt een bijzondere zeereis mee. Nadat het schip in een orkaan is vergaan, spoelt hij aan op een eiland waar piraten hun buit hebben begraven. Hij zet vallen uit voor als ze terugkomen. Op zoek naar zijn scheepsmaten komt hij ook de piraten tegen.
