Een jager leeft een afgezonderd bestaan in de natuur. Hij raakt samen met de lokale sheriff Alice betrokken bij een dodelijk kat-en-muisspel wanneer ze op het spoor zitten van een wrede moordenaar. Voor de jager speelt een persoonlijk motief mee, aangezien de moordenaar jaren geleden verantwoordelijk zou zijn voor de ontvoering van zijn dochter.
