Sloan Carter is een jong meisje dat onlangs blind is geworden. Haar vader vertrekt voor het weekend en haar twee beste vrienden, die naar huis terugkeren van de universiteit, houden haar gezelschap. Het vredige weekend wordt onderbroken door een schaduwrijke dreiging en het uitje van Safe Country verandert in een gevecht om te overleven.
