Tom Carter heeft door middel van zijn loopbaan als bankrover carrière gemaakt. Hier komt verandering in wanneer hij de liefde van zijn leven ontmoet: Annie. Zij werkt als receptioniste bij de opslagfaciliteit waar Tom gestolen geld heeft opgeborgen. Al snel vallen ze voor elkaar, maar dat is niet genoeg voor Tom die zijn naam wil zuiveren. Hij besluit zichzelf aan te geven en het geld in te leveren. Maar dan wordt de zaak aan een corrupte FBI-agent overgedragen. Opeens valt Toms plan in duigen.
