Veertien jaar nadat haar zoon verdwenen is op zee, tijdens een zeiltocht met haar man, begint Kirsten eindelijk verder te gaan met haar leven. Zij krijgt echter de schok van haar leven wanneer ze twee bekende gezichten herkent op de achtergrond van een vakantievideo van vrienden. Overtuigd dat haar lang verloren gewaande kind en haar ex op het tropische eiland zitten, vertrekt Kirsten met de eerste vlucht. Haar reis verloopt echter niet zonder slag of stoot. Zal ze uiteindelijk haar doel bereiken?
