Remake van de Hitchcock uit 1938. Een Amerikaanse reist naar Engeland vanuit Duitsland, waar ze weggaat vanwege de nazi's. Onderweg raakt ze bevriend met een Engelse vrouw, die echter spoorloos verdwijnt. Samen met een fotograaf probeert de vrouw haar vriendin terug te vinden.
