Na een tragische gebeurtenis zit Lilly in een rouwproces en wordt haar huwelijk zwaar op de proef gesteld. Ze hoopt haar verdriet te verwerken door middel van het tuinieren, maar wordt voortdurend aangevallen door een spreeuw die zich nabij haar huis heeft genesteld. In een poging met de vogel om te gaan went Lilly zich tot de psychiater en dierenarts Larry.
