"Vsichni Dobrí Rodáci" volgt de levens van zeven vrienden in een klein Tjechoslowaaks dorpje in 1948. Net na de Tweede Wereldoorlog treedt daar ook het communisme in werking en de bewoners, die blij zijn dat de Duitsers zijn verdreven, hopen dat ze nu meer vrijheid zullen hebben. Helaas is die hoop van korte duur.
