Karen Clark, een alleenstaande moeder, huurt Alex in. Hij is een mannelijke au pair en zal voor de twee zoons van Karen gaan zorgen. Wat Karen niet weet, is dat Alex een kwaadaardig plan heeft. Hij wil met Karen en haar zoons een gezin vormen en heeft er alles voor over om dit voor elkaar te krijgen.
