Sydney kampt met een enorme droogte. Daarom wordt een omstreden plan gelanceerd, waarbij water geput zou worden uit de tunnels die onder de stad liggen. Kort na de verkiezingen wordt er echter met geen woord meer gerept over deze onderneming. Een cameraploeg trekt de tunnels in om te achterhalen waarom het plan werd stopgezet, maar komt tot een zeer onprettige vaststelling.
Nee, helaas is The Tunnel nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
