Walter Hale is de leider van de Chautauqua-circusgroep die in de jaren '20 dwars door de Verenigde Staten trekt. Helaas ontstaat er al gauw onenigheid onder de artiesten, en Hale wordt genoodzaakt de vakbond in te zetten om de conflicten te kunnen beslechten. De bond stuurt daarom een jonge vrouw met de groep mee, die het Hale echter behoorlijk moeilijk maakt om zijn artiesten bij elkaar te houden.
Nee, helaas is The Trouble with Girls nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
