De indiaanse pelsjager Archie Grey Owl (Brosnan) en zijn partner Pony leiden een teruggetrokken bestaan in de Canadese bossen. Door zijn krantenartikelen over het leven in de wildernis en de bedreiging van de Canadese natuur, is Grey Owl een bekendheid geworden. Voor promotie van zijn autobiografie reist Grey Owl naar Engeland, waar hij met open armen ontvangen wordt. Tot een journalist een zwarte periode uit Grey Owls leven oprakelt.
Nee, helaas is Grey Owl nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
