Plot

In Zuidwest-Ierland gaan twee rivaliserende groepen kinderen uit verschillende dorpen elkaar te lijf met katapulten en stokken met als doel de knopen van de tegenstander. Na iedere slag wordt de oorlogsmachine geraffineerder. Alles wordt geregeld totdat beide partijen niet meer weten waar de rivaliteit vandaan komt. Externe dreiging in de vorm van ouders noopt de leiders tot vredesbesprekingen.
