Een stel vrienden gaat voor een weekendje naar een eiland in de Golf van Mexico. Het eiland ligt in de buurt van een zogenaamd gesloten onderzoekscentrum dat echter nog steeds actief is. Er wordt gewerkt aan 'Project Bruce', een uiterst geheim experiment met DNA van haaien. Wanneer de haai Bruce losbreekt begint hij andere haaien te infecteren, die vervolgens veranderen in zombie-haaien.
Nee, helaas is Zombie Shark nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
