In een afgelegen vallei in IJsland, leven Gummi en Kiddi zij aan zij, terwijl ze hun schapen hoeden. Hun voorouderlijke kudde schapen wordt beschouwd als een de beste van het land en de twee broers werden al herhaaldelijke keren bekroond voor hun prijswinnende rammen, die een oeroude stamboom dragen.
