Het stadje Downers Grove ziet eruit als een gewone buurt uit de voorsteden - maar Downers Grove heeft een verontrustend geheim... In de afgelopen acht jaar kwam telkens een laatstejaarsstudent uit elke middelbare school op bizarre wijze om het leven vlak voor de dag dat hij of zij afstudeerde. En dit jaar heeft Chrissie Swanson (Bella Heathcote) een vreselijke gevoel dat zij de volgende is die gaat sterven. Kan Chrissie de vloek van Downers Grove overleven of zal ze, net als die laatstejaarsstudenten voor haar, ten prooi vallen aan het dodelijke geheim van de stad?
