Vier jongeren rijden op de vooravond van hun diploma-uitreiking een jonge grizzly aan. Door het ongeval raakt hun auto stuk, waardoor ze niet meer naar huis kunnen terugkeren. Tot overmaat van ramp is de moeder van het gewonde dier vastbesloten zich te wreken. Een genadeloze achtervolging is het resultaat.
