Cleopatra wil aan Julius Caesar bewijzen dat het volk van Egypte nog altijd het grootste volk ter wereld is. Ze gaat een weddenschap met hem aan om een paleis in Alexandrië te bouwen in drie maanden. De bijna onmogelijke taak dit te verwezenlijken valt te beurt aan Tekenis. Bang om in de maag van een krokodil te verdwijnen roept hij de hulp in van de druïde Panoramix. Samen met Asterix en Obelix gaan ze de strijd aan om het paleis op tijd af te krijgen. Ze worden echter dwars gezeten door Astmagoedis (de rivaal van Tekenis) en door Julius Caesar zelf.
Nee, helaas is Asterix & Obelix: Missie Cleopatra nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
