In een Japan dat een grootschalige oorlog heeft doorstaan, worden reusachtige robots gebouwd om een toekomstige vijand het hoofd te bieden. Gaandeweg wordt echter duidelijk dat alleen jonge vrouwen genoeg geestelijke kracht hebben om de robots van een geest te voorzien. Een elitekorps wordt samengesteld - deze groep vrouwen vermommen zich als theatergezelschap om de vijand te misleiden...
