Sherlock Holmes achtervolgt zijn aartsvijand, de snode professor Moriarty naar New York, waar de doortrapte schurk de ultieme bankoverval heeft uitgevoerd. Ondertussen heeft hij een bloeiende romance met Irene Adler, die voor een nieuwe show optreedt in een theater. Helaas meldt ze zich daarvoor ziek en blijkt al vlug dat zij het doelwit was voor een ontvoering door Moriarty.
Nee, helaas is Sherlock Holmes in New York nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
