Op haar vlucht naar New York, waar ze op een carrière als schilderes hoopt, ontmoet ze studente Brianne Dwyer. Ze berooft en vermoordt Brianne in koelen bloede en gebruikt haar naam om onder te duiken op een exclusieve academie. Daar sluit ze vriendschap met de nietsvermoedende Jeanelle.
