In New South Wales, Australië, arriveert een grote groep gevangenen inclusief de kleine delinquent Toby Nelson. Toegewezen om te werken op een boerderij komen ze in de handen van de vreselijke sergeant Billy Langdon en korporaal Weazel Wesley. Toby ontsnapt en vlucht de Australische jungle in waar hij van de dood gered wordt door een Aboriginal, Wahroonga. Samen en met andere ontsnapte Jack Doolan en Wahroonga's dierenvriendjes smeden ze een plan om de smid Big George en Toby's zusje Polly te redden.
