De Britse Kate Davis is verslaggeefster in Rusland tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Na een Duits bombardement op Leningrad wordt een groep buitenlandse journalisten terug naar Moskou gevlogen. Kate wordt vermist en zo blijft ze achter in de belegerde stad. Ook haar vriend Philip Parker - Amerikaans journalist en winnaar van de Pulitzerprijs - gaat, overtuigd dat ze het niet heeft overleefd, terug naar Moskou. Kate moet dan zien te overleven in een stad die van alles is afgesloten en waar iedereen dreigt te sterven door de honger.
Nee, helaas is Leningrad nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
