Op school scoort Alvin niets dan tienen. Op sociaal gebied is hij echter een dikke vette nul. Maar Alvin heeft een plannetje bedacht om het ook op dat vlak helemaal te gaan maken. Hij stelt voor om de wagen van de oogverblindend mooie Paris te regelen, als zij zich wil voordoen als zijn vriendinnetje. Zo geschiedt en plots wordt Alvin op handen gedragen door de kids die hem voordien met de nek aankeken. Zelfs zijn vader heeft niets dan lof voor zijn zoon, de grote versierder. Maar de populariteit eist zijn tol. Is Alvin bereid alles op te offeren waar hij in school zo hard voor gewerkt heeft? Is hij te dolgedraaid om te zien dat Paris eigenlijk wel een oogje heeft op Alvin? Wat Alvin echt wil, ligt zo voor de hand. En het kost hem helemaal niks.
