Aspirant-kunstenaar Ali moet haar leven weer opbouwen nadat een tragisch ongeluk haar man en hun jonge kind heeft gedood en haar blind heeft gemaakt. Het leven in het donker blijkt een ontmoedigende taak te zijn, dus op voorstel van haar arts huurt ze een verzorger genaamd Jeff in om haar te helpen zich aan te passen aan de overgang. Jeffs hulp blijkt onmisbaar te zijn, ze ontmoet zelfs haar nieuwe buurvrouw, Linda, en raakt al snel bevriend. Het duurt niet lang of ze is verwikkeld in een gevecht voor haar leven tegen een obsessief roofdier. Zal ze leren zichzelf te beschermen door haar enige overgebleven zintuigen op tijd te gebruiken om haar leven te redden?
