Jody is een 20-jarige zwarte jongen die thuis woont bij z'n moeder. Hij heeft twee kinderen, bij twee verschillende moeders. Jody probeert het huis te verlaten, en een nieuwe relatie te beginnen met zijn huidige vriendin, maar zijn "baby momma's" zorgen ervoor dat dit niet goed lukt. Bovendien heeft zijn moeder een nieuwe vriend die hij niet kan uitstaan, en probeert zijn beste vriend hem terug te laten keren in het criminele leven.
