De plaatselijke sheriff Harry is verliefd op Jane, de zus van zijn vrouw Enid. Wanneer Enid, Harry en Jane samen betrapt in bed slaan bij haar de stoppen door. Tijdens de ruzie die ontstaat krijgt Enid een klap op het hoofd. Wanneer Harry en Jane proberen de dood van Enid te laten lijken op een ongeluk gebeurt de ene ramp na de andere.
