Nadat ze haar scheidingspapieren heeft ondertekend, gaat een vrouw met haar zus en dochters naar haar luchthaven in Minnesota voor een vlucht naar het huis van haar moeder. Op het vliegveld komt haar echtgenoot, een sportschrijver, opdagen om een vlucht naar Miami te nemen om zijn vader te bezoeken. Wanneer een sneeuwstorm toeslaat, merken de twee plotseling dat ze tijd hebben om hun relatie opnieuw te evalueren met de hulp van een ouder echtpaar.
