Harry Madox is een levensgenieter die tweedehands auto's verkoopt in Texas. Vanaf het eerste moment dat hij de jonge en knappe Gloria Harper ziet, valt hij als een blok voor haar. Ondertussen doet Dolly, de vrouw van de baas, verwoede pogingen om met Harry in contact te komen.
