De Onweerstaanbare Joe (Bruce Willis) en de zwaarmoedige Terry (Billy Bob Thornton) zijn voorvluchtige bankrovers die nog maar één doel voor ogen hebben: genieten van hun paradijs in Mexico. Ze hebben slechts nog een paar bankovervallen tegaan voordat het zo ver is. Hun aanpak is eenvoudig, zonder geweld bezoeken zij de avond van de overval de bankdirecteur. Genieten daar van een diner, blijven slapen en de volgende dag helpt de directeur hun veilig de bank te beroven. Deze aanpak zorgt ervoor dat de logerende bankovervallers als zijnde Robin Hood, razend populair worden, zelfs bij bankdirecteuren. Helaas worden de zaken gecompliceerder wanneer de onstabiele, zeer mooie maar vooral eigenwijze persoonlijkheid Kate (Cate Blanchett) in hun leven komt. Kate sluit zich aan bij de bankovervallers en steelt niet alleen het geld, maar ook hun harten...
Nee, helaas is Bandits nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
