Charlotte en haar man Joel zijn op zoek naar een frisse start en verruilen hun huis in een grote stad voor een huis in een buitenwijk, dat ze voor een goede prijs gekocht hebben. Maar niets is wat het lijkt, want al snel blijkt dat de vorige eigenaar vermoord is. Charlotte vindt mysterieuze aanwijzingen die achtergelaten zijn door de vorige eigenaar voordat ze vermoord werd.
