Gary, een popartiest die ooit in beter gewaardeerde kringen vertoefde, verdoet zijn tijd met het componeren van radio-jingles en belandt zo in een midlife-crisis. Zijn vrouw Dora is hem daarbij niet echt een steun en ze groeien daardoor uit elkaar. Dan komt hij op een dag Anna tegen, die letterlijk de vrouw van zijn dromen blijkt te zijn.
