Vrienden, geliefden en jaloerse exen vieren samen de milleniumwisseling in New York. Problemen zijn er genoeg: Annabell doet haar uiterste best om toenadering tot haar vriendje Rufus te zoeken. Maar Rufus doet zijn best om haar op een zo groot mogelijke afstand te houden. Want de knappe Nicole gooit al haar charmes in de strijd om Rufus van Annabell af te pakken. Annabell, op haar beurt, probeert de Franse adonis Thierry van het lijf te houden. Maar niet erg fanatiek.
