Net voor kerst wordt Lee Leander voor de derde keer betrapt bij een winkeldiefstal. Ze wordt aangeklaagd door John Sargent, die de rechtszaak vanwege Kerstmis wil uitstellen. Omdat hij echter niet wil dat Lee de kerstdagen in de gevangenis moet doorbrengen, zorgt hij er voor dat ze op borgtocht vrijkomt.
