The Acid House is een stadssprookje in drie delen. Het eerste deel, getiteld 'The Granton Star Cause', is een zwarte komedie over wraak, voetbal en religie. De redelijk zelfingenomen Boab Coyle verliest in korte tijd de volledige basis van zijn bestaan: hij wordt uit zijn voetbalteam gesmeten, zijn vader wil dat hij nu eindelijk eens op zichzelf gaat wonen en zijn verloofde maakt het uit.Het tweede verhaal, 'A Soft Touch', is een satirische sociale schets: softie Johnny trouwt met de hoogzwangere Catriona, ook al is het zeer de vraag of hij de vader van het kind is. Deel drie, 'The Acid House', is komisch-surrealistisch: Coco houdt van raves en van de bijbehorende pillen. Tijdens zijn net iets te heftige trip wordt zijn bewustzijn verplaatst naar een pasgeboren baby en vice versa.
Nee, helaas is The Acid House nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
